Cup Cake Challenge

Guidelines:

  • Bakers must arrive by 1:30 pm with 2 dozen mini cupcakes of each flavor for judging 
  • Bakers must be 16 yrs or older.
  • Bakers must label each batch with baker’s name, identify flavor and provide list of main ingredients (not recipe) to help avoid allergy reactions.
  • Cup Cake Challenge will be held at the Chef's Tent at the corner of Tarboro & Nash Streets.  
  • No walkups allowed.
  • Deadline to enter: Friday, October 25.
  • Entry fee: $10 per flavor for Wilson residents, $20 per flavor for non-Wilson resident
  • How to enter: Print Cup Cake Challenge form below, mail in with entry free.

      Judging:

      • Judging of cupcakes for Most Unique Flavor, Best Home Baker and Best Professional Baker will be judged by an impartial panel of community members and members of the Festival Board.
      • Best "Home" Baker vs. Best "Professional" Baker categories will be seperated by if the baker has a storefront that sells baked items or works in a bakery.
      • The “Whirl” Factor category will be selected based on best representation of a Whirligig themed cupcake by design and decoration.
